Meet Brendan Quinn

Brendan with his usual demeanor; calm and content.
Brendan with his usual demeanor; calm and content.

As a co-founder of Wild Harvest, Brendan is the one that brings your dream landscape, to the physical reality. After he receives a design, he orchestrates the design installation like a maestro directing a score; sourcing all the materials and plants and directing the installation team. Meeting each project with his equanimous calm we trust as the head of installation and field operations. We asked Brendan to share a bit about what got him here. Here's what he said:

Where were you before Wild Harvest?

I started with a formal education, going to college obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA), with a focus in sustainable business approaches. Since graduation I have accumulated 8 years of business operations and project management experience, including 3 years in landscaping industry prior to my introduction to Wild Harvest as a co-founder.

What inspires you to be here at Wild Harvest?

I am constantly inspired by our dedication and shared passion for designing and installing ecologically regenerative landscapes that go far beyond the norm of the landscaping industry. Here at Wild Harvest, we are all so passionate about bringing regenerative agriculture and permaculture principles into the city, to residential environments; helping people deepen their connection to the land around them and helping them connect more intimately with their food source.

When I'm working on design installation I bring our designer's visions to life. Drawing on my 8 years of project management experience to transform a digital design into reality, I do my best to predict the needs of the project, ensuring an installation process with minimal frictions. Seeing these designs manifest into reality inspires the hard work that I continue to do here at Wild Harvest.

How do you spend time outside of Wild Harvest?

Outside of my work with Wild Harvest I use my time in a similar way, promoting local food security and getting my hands dirty! I help run a community garden at my home that focuses on teaching urban community members how to live in reciprocity with each other, the land, and their food supply. Additionally, I really can't get enough nature and community in my life. I love hiking, woodworking, leather craft and being involved in community events that foster deep interpersonal connections.

What else do you want the world to know about you?

I am deeply motivated to foster transformation in people's connection to nature. I really want to demonstrate the benefits of growing you own food by leading as an example. I am an artist and an implementor of creative energy. I dream and I create, rinse and repeat.
